Wash the tarpaulin if it is dirty (you can use roughly water, a pressure washer, etc .; then with the degreaser from the kit), 2. If the tarpaulin has microcracks, faded, rotted-crumbling at the repair site, wipe with sandpaper of 200-300 grades and around it, 5-10 cm from the extreme points and degrease again, 3. Cut the batten larger than the damage by 5-10 cm from the extreme points and round the corners (do not leave 90 degrees), 4. The tarpaulin should be clean and dry. Apply glue evenly on the patch and the damaged area, 5. Wait until 2 surfaces are dry (they may be slightly sticky - about 3-10 minutes depending on the thickness of the applied layer and gluing temperature), 6. Apply the patch and press it with a roller ( you can do it in stages, remembering to apply the patch from one end to the other, so that when pressed with a roller, the air is squeezed out), 7. Done! Initial gluing takes approx. 30 minutes. A full few hours. The complete set includes: ATK B170 adhesive - 200 ml Tarpaulin repair patch (dimensions approx. 90x55 cm) Blue RAL 5002 or Gray RAL 7042 Degreaser based on isopropanol 100 ml (other packaging than in the picture) 2x brush for applying the adhesive 1x stiff pressure roller with embossing for better pressure If you need larger quantities, the adhesive is available in 0.5 l or 5 containers and additional patches are available here. Tips and Tricks: - If you can and want to speed up the bonding, you can dry the adhesive layer with a dryer / heat gun, which you will later use when pressing the entire patch, heating the surface, - If the surface is completely dry, e.g. 30-50 minutes. and you have not glued, you can repeat the glue application process, wait until it dries and sticks. - Make sure that the adhesive surface is not dirty while the adhesive is drying. - When we want to repair in the rain, choose ATK 812 glue as an emergency repair. - The brush included in the set can be cut in half to obtain stiffer bristles.
