Specialized sealant for joining polycarbonate and pvc sandwich panels. It replaces weak silicone adhesives and non-light-resistant polyurethane seals that let moisture in over time. We use in: roofs skylights windbreaks walls roofs for swimming pools smoke hatches greenhouses walls and roofs of conservatories coffers, backlights in combination with dibond hoods windows in boats (instead of unsuccessful polyurethanes) other covers in which we want to seal and dampen surfaces We glue and seal: polycarbonate chambered polycarbonate solid pvc chambered and solid plexiglass lithium polypropylene chambered boards - use ATK 822 primer The most common application cases: attaching canopies directly to aluminum, steel and wooden supports, ordinary and stainless steel reinforcements, sealing and gluing of PVC, metal raw or varnished gutters (in the case of PP pipes, buy ATK 822 primer) sealing the edges of roofs, eaves and skylights at guides and ends sealing between angles and fittings for masonry and building materials such as brick, concrete sealing fixing screws - also when there is a gasket Sealing gaskets - is it necessary? When assembling hollow and solid boards, in most applications we get U-shaped gaskets to protect against water and moisture - unfortunately, they either do not do it at all or let it pass over time - at best after a year of two; therefore, during assembly, it is necessary to seal it - the exception are silicone gaskets, then ATK 663 glue should be used. And remember about the vapor-permeable gasket on one side. What about mounting bolts? in this case, the holes must also be filled with ATK 812. The gasket will be included, but will leak water over time. How to properly finish the cellular plate? The most common method is a U, F or H profile with a sealing gasket, but the joint, if not lubricated with ATK 812, will "fog" over time. Is plain or sanitary silicone not enough? Unfortunately not. It is the most frequently used product in fastening and sealing of cellular boards, roofs and windows, and as you can see, it fails the exam for two reasons. The first one is, unfortunately, a weak silicone from 0.5 to 1 MPa. Our specialized sealant has as much as 4 Mpa. The second reason is that silicones, unfortunately, stick poorly to polycarbonate surfaces, especially with the passage of time, they simply "come off" from the surface. To counteract this, we grease PC surfaces with ATK P200 primer, which increases adhesion to the surface, especially over the years. What about the high expansion of cellular boards up to 3-4 mm / m. ? ATK 812 is an elastic mass that allows it to expand as the material "works", therefore there is no damage to the surface. Is the adhesive resistant to UV light? Yes, and we don't need to use any UV protection primers. Included: ATK 812 glue - 400g cartridge - white color P-200 primer - 2 pcs x 5 ml Isopropanol-based degreaser - 100ml Operating instructions: degrease surfaces with a degreaser from the kit, apply p200 primer (increases adhesion to smooth materials) apply glue on one side and press so that the thickness of the glue is not more than 2 cm but not less than 0.5-1 mm. light elements will stick right away, heavier ones should be fitted with a clamp, glued with paper tape etc. for the time of initial drying 1-3 hours. if the glue flows out, you can remove it immediately, make a grout or wait for it to set and then cut it off.
