The glue that we want to show today can be used for gluing ABS. The same principle can be used to glue most plastics such as Polycarbonate or Plexiglass. Today, however, we will focus on ABS on the example of a car hubcap. It will not be gluing large surfaces, and a thin one - fastening that has broken. Gluing it can be done in several ways. We will show you a faster way - with ATK-PU glue - 5-minute version ATK PU 16.

In order to glue car hubcaps, you will also need:

- degreaser,

- scraper,

- squeezer for the above-mentioned glue, We remind you that it is a 1: 1 glue.

Very important - We do not use gasoline and acetone to degrease the surface - because there is a chance of damaging the surface. The only degreaser worth using is isopropanol-based - then we have a guarantee of proper degreasing of the surface.

When the surface is dry, we try to "roughen" the surface so that the glue has better bond to the surface. You can do it with a milling machine, knife or scraper. We must achieve such an effect that the material does not shine but is dull.

This way we get rid of oxides. We proceed to gluing. We put on a stirrer. We remember that in the case of ATK PU glue - we have 5 minutes to squeeze and stick. We apply glue depending on the element that you need to repair. After a few minutes, we will achieve initial bonding, and after 15 minutes, the strength will be 100% bonded. How to get rid of excess? Just a knife or a grinder. You can use masking or paper tape beforehand - so as not to disturb the surface.

If you want to see how this glue holds, be sure to watch this guide and see for yourself - We have tested this glue and we can 100% recommend it to anyone who has problems with gluing plastics such as: ABS, plastics, metals, glass, wood or aluminum. Importantly, the glue can be painted after drying and is resistant to weather conditions.

NOTE: The name has changed, the correct name is ATK-PU-16 (formerly MEGA)
