The most common repair is a crack or a tear, or even a hole that needs to be patched up. Of course, replacement is the easiest way, but it is also the most expensive because you need to replace the entire element, which is often non-dismountable, and also time, i.e. finding the right company, contact, order, measurements, production and assembly. All these elements are sometimes repaired for several days or even weeks! It is better, cheaper and faster to repair such a tear in a very aesthetic way. (saving time and money)

 

degrease the element to be repaired

we cut the patch 2-3 cm larger than the crack of a regular shape

we put glue on the patch and press it lightly

fasten it so that it does not move for the first 10-15 minutes. We can use paper tape, unless the element is glued horizontally

 

Remember:

 

- if the PVC film has additional coatings, a light sanding of 200-300 grit may be needed (you can do a preliminary test earlier on a redundant piece or in a less visible place by applying it to the surfaces).

 

- we glue at positive temperatures above 15 degrees - if you want to glue the repair place and the patch in lower heat, keep the temperature for the first 1 hour. e.g. with a farelka or even a dryer.
