Preparation of the mold: The mold for casting the gasket can be made of metal, plastic or wood. We make the mold according to the dimensions of the cast element. DIAGUM composition does not have any shrinkage during curing. The form must meet the following conditions imposed by the non-pressurized process:

good tightness, protecting against outflows on the mold separation surfaces consisting of several elements, easy pouring of the composition,

self-airing of the mold when pouring the composition,

easy disassembly of the mold after the hardening of the composition, without damaging the cast element.

The surfaces of the mold in contact with the DIAGUM composition are coated with Kemiskol T055 release agent, which effectively prevents the composition from sticking to the mold.

Filling the mold with the composition and the hardening process: Pour the thoroughly mixed composition into the mold with the thinnest possible stream. This results in the elimination of air bubbles introduced into the composition as it is mixed. The mold must be filled relatively quickly as the composition thickens over time, which makes it difficult to pour it into the mold.

Removing the element from the mold: after the composition has hardened, very carefully remove the mold so as not to damage the cast element.
